Douglas C-47B Dakota A65-94, ARDU, 'Greens' Machine'.
A65-94 was named 'Greens' Machine' as he was the CO of ARDU (1) who managed to save the aircraft from being a target at Woomera. The Dakota arrived back at ARDU in 1981, received a very stringent 'D' Service and was re-introduced into service, serving at both Edinburgh and Sale. As part of the Service, a surface finisher painted the name on the nose without authority; he received a written warning but the name was left on the aircraft. The brilliant thing is that the A65-94 is still flying today with HARS at Albion Park.
As an aside, ARDU was the last RAAF unit to use the venerable C-47 Dakota.
